KRANG is an experimental launchpad for meme tokens. Meme tokens have no intrinsic value and can lose all of it. Nothing on this site is investment advice or an offer of securities.

How KRANG works

Launch a meme token tied to a media company. Trade it on a bonding curve. Fees are counted in that company's tokenized stock.

How launching works

Every token on KRANG is tied to one media company: Netflix, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery and the others on the Companies page. The company decides which tokenized stock the token pays its fees in. A Netflix token pays in NFLXx, a Disney token in DISx. The company is picked once, at launch, and cannot be changed.

The whole supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens goes into a bonding curve. There is no team allocation, no presale and no way to mint more. The creator can buy at launch like anyone else, in the same transaction, so nobody gets in ahead of them.

  1. Pick a company. Search by company or brand: "HBO" finds Warner Bros. Discovery.
  2. Choose a pair and a fee mode. Both are permanent.
  3. Sign and send. One transaction creates the token, the curve and your optional first buy. The launch fee is 0.02 SOL and is paid in that same transaction.
  4. Trade. The token is live on the curve the moment the transaction confirms.

Pairs

A token is priced against its pair. The quote assets of the network are the default and the most liquid choice. They are available for every company.

A third option, pairing directly against the company's tokenized stock, unlocks only when that stock has at least $5,000 of liquidity on a DEX. Below that, swaps would move the price too much to be safe. The Companies page shows which stocks currently qualify. If liquidity later drops below the threshold, new launches for that stock close, but existing tokens keep trading as they are.

Bonding curve and graduation

Price rises as tokens are bought from the curve and falls as they are sold back. There is no order book and no market maker: the curve is the counterparty for every trade. The tank on each token shows how full the curve is.

When the curve holds $30,000 worth of the pair asset, the token graduates. The liquidity moves to a Raydium pool with the creator's LP locked, and trading continues there through Jupiter. Graduation is one-way.

Amounts shown as "≈ N shares" are price equivalents, not holdings.

Fee modes

Every trade pays 1.75% in fees. 1.00% goes to the platform and 0.25% to Raydium. The remaining 0.50% goes either to everyone holding the token, split by balance and paid every epoch, or to the creator's wallet, claimable at any time. The creator picks the mode at launch and it is permanent. It shows as a badge on the token.

FeeRateWhen
Platform1.00%Every trade
Creator or holders0.50%Every trade
Raydium0.25%Every trade
Launch fee0.02 SOLOnce, at launch

In both modes the payout is denominated in the company's tokenized stock. You can always choose to receive the pair asset instead at claim time.

Epochs and claiming

Holder payouts accrue per epoch of 24 hours. When an epoch closes, each holder's share is computed from their balance and becomes claimable from Portfolio. Shares too small to pay out are carried to the next epoch.

Creator fees accrue with every trade and can be claimed whenever you like, also from Portfolio.

In shares, and why sometimes you get USDC

Fees are collected in the pair asset. When you claim, KRANG offers to swap them into the company's tokenized stock so that you receive shares. The swap only goes ahead if the price it gets is within 3% of the reference price.

When the tokenized stock has no market at that moment, or the price would move more than 3%, the swap is skipped and you claim in the pair asset instead. Nothing is lost: the amount is the same, only the asset differs. You can try to swap yourself later.

Risks

Meme tokens have no intrinsic value and can lose all of it. Bonding curve prices move fast. Smart contracts can have bugs. Tokenized stocks can lose their market. Regulation can change. Only trade what you can afford to lose.

FAQ

Do I own part of Netflix if I hold a Netflix token?

No. Tokens are not shares and give you no claim on the company. The only link to Netflix is that fees are paid in NFLXx, a tokenized stock, at market price.

Can the creator change the fee mode later?

No. The fee mode and the company are set at launch and cannot be changed.

What does "graduating" mean?

The curve reached its target, liquidity moved to a Raydium pool and trading continues there. The token page shows "Graduated" and routes trades through Jupiter.

Is KRANG available everywhere?

No. In some regions launching, trading and claiming are closed. Viewing is always available.
